Anonymous asked: Not the same anon, but I'm also curious about lucky bags. I'm in Japan and would like to buy some lucky bags in the physical shops, do you have any advice on how to proceed? Thanks a lot in advance ♥
I’m not exactly sure about the process in physical stores for fukubukuro sales, so others in Japan who have ordered in store please feel free to chime in ♥ During these times , I assume you walk in store and reserve your fukubukuro during the specific days that each brand has for reservations. Since they can’t sell them or hand them out before a certain time (January 1st ). If you missed the time slot to reserve, then I assume January 1st bright and early you should plan to spend some time in line waiting to purchase one from your preferred shop(s) . >.<
During that time, they should have the bags out physically for you to purchase as many as your money will allow.
I suppose they can’t sell them beforehand so the contents aren’t revealed early, and reservation occurs , especially online, so people can have a chance if they won’t be able to wait in line. It’s probably more efficient to go with a boyfriend/girlfriend or friend(s) .
